Of course with the liner being of a far better quality this improves the warranty as well. A normal bag liner has a really strong warranty at 5 limited year. The new Ultra Liner has a 7 year limited warranty.

TOPBORDER Self Adhesive Tile bands are a range of self adhesive borders that will bring the most faded of liner tile bands and tide lines back to life and give them a fresh breathe of life. The Top Border comes in a roll of self adhesive foil that would go round a normal 30’ x 15’ pool. The tile bands are available in many colours and designs and are very simple for a DIY installation.

Deep End Pools are refurbishing a swimming pool in Pinner, Uxbridge, Middlesex.

The swimming pool is being treated to new liner, pipework and some much needed TLC. The pool was emptied and the liner removed and disposed of.

The images show the Deep End Pools team measuring up for a very specialist liner. The pool has a Silhouette of its roman end at the deep end of the swimming pool. The refurbishment involved new PVC pipe runs as the line failed a specialist pressure test that found leaks in two lines.

Deep End Pools have installed a Certikin liner in a new build swimming pool in Burnham, Berkshire.

The liner was installed and now the pool is filling ready for it to be in used in just a few days. The next step will be to cut out the fittings through the liner once the pool has enough water in the there to hold the liner in its final position. The plantroom has been plumbed up ready for commissioning.

The pool is around 20 year old cascade pool.

The liner as you can see has several different twists and turns to contend againest. If the shape of the pool was not enough the floor and walls are extremely ‘undulating’. The guy’s were really againest the odds. Liners in general started by locating the corners and squaring the material up. With a kidney shaped pool the liner is one large corner, with no start or finish.

The liner was put into position and kicked into place. Liners in are normally made a little bit too small and strectched into place. With the cascade style pool the coping stone is the liner lock as well. As soon as the guys were getting a section in place and strecthing the liner into place the old coping stone would ‘pop’ off.

With lots of perserverence and a little elbow grease the liner was into correct position and left to fill up to the first set of fittiings.

We would advise the best time for a liner to be installed would be between late February and Late October when outdoor and any time on an indoor liner change. whenever you are looking to install any liner in a high water table area such as Denham, Farnham Common, Marlow, Burnham Beeches and Aylesbury more areas we can advise upon due to our experience in these areas, the perfect time dependent upon the years weather is often late summer and the early autumn periods.

How much will a swimming pool liner change cost me?

well the fact is in ground swimming pool liners are far easier to install than above ground swimming pool liners, however good consideration must be taken into account for small light floor repairs gaskets and faceplates and liner lock repairs roman end gaskets under water light inspections.

Deep End Pools recently embarked upon a project on a swimming pool in Ickenham Middlesex, the existing swimming pool had recently had the liner changed by a local swimming pool company in Bucks and seemingly there were some oversights!

The original swimming pool was an old Metal panel swimming pool system installed sometime in the 80’s now heading into some 30 years old the shell was showing some serious signs of wear, which we discovered upon removal of the swimming pool liner.

The swimming pool unfortunately had an incorrect backfill substance allowing the framed chassis of the swimming pool structure to be constantly in contact with moisture, this is very frustrating as the reason for the method of build in this way is simply to save costs on the build via the contractor, the end result became extremely apparent when the liner was removed the soil backfill had penetrated 2 or more swimming pool panels to the point they were split and soil was spilling into the swimming pool!

An extremely precarious situation as the ‘A’ frame braces had also suffered bad corrosion damage; the pool could collapse at any time! Further to the woes the swimming pool floor screed was heavily ingressed with algae this had penetrated through the new swimming pool liner! Less than 12 months old!

We had two options given this scenario, the pool structure was weak and at the point of collapse and the floor screed poorly laid undulating and impregnated with algae. Option 1 fill the pool in option 2 build a pool within the pool!

Option 2 was chosen

Option 2 actually worked out to be more cost effective than filling the swimming pool in due to the restricted access to the house, as the existing swimming pool was a liner hopper swimming pool and more commonly new build swimming pool construction requests are for flat bottomed constant depth pools, we opted to infill the deep end of the swimming pool and form a concrete footing ready to accept the new heat retaining swimming pool block system.

our work began stabilising the existing swimming pool structure, and then casting a concrete footing to accept the new in ground pool, once the swimming pool was up this being only in a matter of 2 days work, we began the concrete infill to the backfill section and the block internal.

Once the pool was built we set upon reshaping the swimming pool floor firstly chemically treating the existing pool floor with an antifungicide then installing a new concrete cast over the infill steel re-enforced then applying our swimming pool liner floor porous screed mix

We finished the pool top with a buff set of certikin lined coping stones 9″ and installed the liner lock ready to accept a certkin liner, to ensure the swimming pools future we installed new certikin skimmers and return fittings adjoining to the original pipe work in the ground after a successful pressure test.
