Very Happy Customer – Swimming Pool Construction

November 19th, 2009

Deep End Pools have constructed many Swimming Pools allover Bucks, Berks, Oxon and London. Yet every Swimming Pool we Construct is very unique and special.

Here is some feed back from one of our very good customers who we have installed a Swimming Pool for and now maintain on a Weekly Basis.

We had a great time using our pool this year.   The Year has been quite chaotic due to the builders being here.   But!!! now they’ve gone and we are slowly getting our garden and house back to normal we look forward to next year and the pool being even better!!   Lets hope its a good summer!

By the start of next season the planting and finishing off around the pool should be complete, so if you would like to use our pool as an example to others you will be most welcome.

We can’t fault the service you offer – right from the installation to the overall running and assistance during the year.   Particularly the weekly maintenance which has maintained the pool to a very high standard.

Best wishes to you all.

Hands up! we have just killed your bush!

July 14th, 2009

Well from time to time we all make mistakes and why because we are all human!

Earlier this year we set about our work in winkfield to chemically clean and refresh a beautiful swimming pool surround, being extremely keen we accidently got a little overzealous with the fluid…. and we managed to deprive a boxus hedge of its life!

Our client being ever so understanding and very complimentary to work we had actually carried out, flagged the issue with the Boxus surrounding the swimming pool surround, to which we responded in good old fashioned business style ‘leave it with us and we will find a man who can’ well knowing full well the only chap to rescue Deep End Pools in our hour of need was Personal Plant shopper business owner and friend Bob!

We have known Bob from our early days in fact since our trading year 1, having always looked up to Bob for many reasons to include his skill and knowledge within his field and his general wiliness to help others we knew The Personal Plant shopper could help us, after a brief site survey Bob had established the soil make up etc and what was required to replace/ repair the Boxus.

So having now contracted Bob from the personal plant shopper to replace the hedge our client’s response was as follows’

“Dear Rob,

I just wanted to write and both thank you and also say how incredibly impressive your attitude and approach has been regarding the problems we experienced with the shrubbery after the pool cleaning process.

The area has been replanted and I am sure relatively quickly will grow back to its previous state.

It its rare these days to find someone who just keeps their word and I can assure you of our loyal custom for years ahead.

With best wishes

Peter Liney”

Phew!

Thank you Bob the Personal Plant shopper http://www.personal-plant-shopper.co.uk/

Thank you Peter for your recognition and praise despite us killing your bush.

Great Service by Deep End Pools!

June 15th, 2009

Dear Deep End Pools,

Now we are into our 2nd week of having our new tub I have just managed to get out for long enough to send you this note! The tub is great and is exactly what we hoped for, but what I really wanted to make sure you are aware of is how fabulous you and the people you have working with you are.  You are all some of the friendliest, hard working and helpful people to have dealt with, it was an absolute pleasure. Not many times do people ‘harp on’ more about the service than the product itself…perhaps that is why you are still in business when others have failed!

Thanks again,

Sue Bradley.

More than just a liner in coleshill, with the help of flexifit!

January 5th, 2009

In Late 2007 early 2008 deep end pools was contracted to replace a liner, however there was seemingly more to the job than found upon first inspection the swimming pool was an old concrete block and liner pool constructed by Lincoln pools in the late 80’s it had minor/medium Mosaic damage caused by frost but this was not all, the liner had been recently been replaced the liner itself looking brand new!

David began to explain the works carried out by the previous contractor we not ideal and suggested there was more than meets the eye regarding this swimming pool leak, so we set upon our detection using our pressure testing kit, drop tests and dye tests and had identified that the return fitting through the step entry had failed and various other lines! This had become more than a liner change.

In situations like this you can simple dig and hope you find the leak but this is too much like trying to win the lottery, so the best practical solution given the pools age, is to replace the underground pipe work when over 50% of the lines have failed, however you must always look to do this in the most economical way. Often when pools are constructed the location of the white goods (skimmers etc) are not always the best locations. so we set about with our new pipe work layout digging through re-enforced concrete and creating a safe trench depth, all pipe work refitted to the trench was the new flexifit style pipe work on a 25m coil, this has fantastic advantages over the standard class c 1.5″ 3meter pipe work mainly being a reduction in joints within the ground. All told 4 lines to and from the swimming pool were replaced and the mosaic made good. And another little trick when replacing liners, we choose to replace all the face plates and gaskets which seemingly others do not tend to do! This can add some £2-300’s to the liner change but hey a liner can last up to 30 years! You’d be silly not too!

Due to the strength of the paving sub base we choose to cut out only one paving slab wide this reduced work load, disruption, and cost so all credit to the pavers a good job 30 years ago! however we did choose to reload the trench with a sizable pea gravel to protect all new pipe work runs, all pipe work was tested in accordance with SPATA recommendations 20 psi for a 30 min test with no permissible loss.

http://www.certikin.co.uk/Pipes+Fittings/50mm+Pipe+Fittings.htm

After many hours this project was complete, filled, run…….. Tested phew a fix! Leaks can be very tasking in swimming pools and this was certainly a pool with that challenge however as David had the right approach of moving forward and fix the pool rather than limp it through there really is no reason why this pool should now not last another 30 years!

And David thank you for your comments;

Dear Robert, Works at Chase Close Coleshill

Earlier this year your company undertook a job to repair damaged pipe work as well as installing a new liner in my swimming pool, At all times your staff were polite, professional and they completed the work to a very high standard. I wish your company every success in these difficult times

Yours sincerely

David McCammon, Coleshill.
