Deep End Pools will soon have a range of portable spas designed for direct online sale. These spas will be exclusively available online and will not be available in store.

The ranges of spas from Certikin International, based in Witney Oxford, are from the Galileo Portable Spas range.

We are going to have 3 spas available:

Callisto – The Callisto is our most popular spa and designed to fit 6 people in comfort and provide soothing hydrotherapy experience from each seat. With the benefit of each seat being made unique it allows for each family member to experience a different massage and even includes a ‘captain’s seat’

Ganymede – The Ganymede with unsurpassed comfort for each seat is the largest spa in the Galileo Range of Spas and Hot Tubs from Deep End Pools. The spa includes his and hers loungers, plus an additional 4 seats the spa will comfortable seat 6 people. Each seat features deep massage jets. The spa has plenty of leg room so taller people can enjoy the spa knowing there is plenty of space.

Europa – The Europa spa is ideal for couples of small families as it is a well sized 3 seater spa. The spa works as a double lounger either face to face or side by side, giving you plenty of choice and comfort.

Last year Deep End Pools were the first company to install one of Certikin North’s pioneering ‘Ultra Liners’ and today at the Certikin Seminar they were formally introduced to the trade.

The benefits of the new ultra liner system are an increased thickness 35 thou, (standard liners are 30 thou). The real benefit is that the tileband has 400% more lacquer than a traditional bag liner.  A tradional only has one coat but the Ultra liner has 4 coats! This is really beneficial to allow for maximium tileband finish for a lot longer than your standard liner.

Of course with the liner being of a far better quality this improves the warranty as well. A normal bag liner has a really strong warranty at 5 limited year. The new Ultra Liner has a 7 year limited warranty.

Certikin Seminar 2010 introduced the new Elecro T100 electric heater. The elecro heaters have been the very similar in design for many years but now elecro and Certikin have teamed up to design this new Elecro T100 for the 2010 swimming season. This heater is ideal for bigger pools as it goes upto 72kw and has many new safety features.

Eco Glass Filter Media (EGFM) is the environmentally friendly filter media and a viable alternative to sand in your filter.

Made from glass that is recycled in the UK, it does not involve intrusive mining and the use of scarce resources.

At Certikin Seminar 2010 introduced a chemical cleaning device to Deep End Pools that is ideal for sanitizing pool areas, pool shells, leisure complexes and school changing rooms.

Sagewash is a hand held spray gun that produces a constant flow of sanitizing Hypochlorous Acid.  It has a screw on, centrally mounted cylindrical container that holds a solid capsule of Calcium Hypochlorite. When a water supply from a standard 12mm hosepipe is attached, the water fills the container, wets the capsule and the dilution is fed to the patented venturi which produces an accurate mixture. This mixture is Hypochlorous Acid, which is a potent disinfectant. The output pH is approximately 7.8 and the free available chlorine concentration (FAC), is controlled at approximately 70ppm. Hypochlorous Acid at this pH is almost neutral and has no negative effects on humans or animals. The sanitized area can be occupied immediately after cleansing without any further rinsing.

The sage wash is easy to hold with its easy to use design. The capsule simply drops into the container and the container is screwed hand tight. Attach the hose, press the trigger and adjust the output nozzle from jet to spray as you wish, to maintain constant coverage.

Sophistication is the keynote of the venturi and its ability to control the concentration of output fluid, so that the Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) is kept at around 780 and the FAC between 70 and 90 ppm depending upon input flow rate. Unlike many disinfecting systems, the Sagewash maintains a constant flow of cleaning fluid for the life of the capsule. A capsule will provide full flow sanitizing for 3.5 hours from new.  The Sagewash is supplied with a tub of capsules. The useage rate is such that this guarantees that the Sagewash is both highly effective and economic to use.

Deep End Pools have formed a good working relationship over the past few years with Neil and the team at Certikin North in Leeds. The Certikin North division supplies Deep End Pools with Liners and Covers and is fast becoming the top supplier in the country with their relentless developments and advancements in swimming pool covers and swimming pool liners.

Certikin North have released for the 2010 and season a range of liner accessories and modifications to either spruce up or revive an old but not yet finished liner.

TOPBORDER Self Adhesive Tile bands are a range of self adhesive borders that will bring the most faded of liner tile bands and tide lines back to life and give them a fresh breathe of life. The Top Border comes in a roll of self adhesive foil that would go round a normal 30’ x 15’ pool. The tile bands are available in many colours and designs and are very simple for a DIY installation.

Once you have refreshed your swimming pools tile band why not install a Pool Decor Graphic. Pool Decor Graphics are a range of very detailed swimming pool floor transfers.

They work on pools of lined, tiled or fibre glass finish. There are a range of 20 graphics available from patterns, sharks, dolphins or butterflies.

Pool Decors are supplied in a box ready to simply be rolled out and then simply laid flat on the swimming pools floor. The Pool Decor transfers can be installed in under 15 mins!

If you are not totally happy with the new Pool Decor you can simply peal it off of the floor and relay it in a different location as no glue or adhesive is used or required.

So at the 2010 Certikin Seminar in the Hilton Hotel, Warwickshire on 28^th January we saw the new Heatwave Swimming Pool system it really appealed to us.

The new Heatwave swimming pool system is a revolutionary insulated panel that is designed to minimise heat loss through the swimming pools walls.

The new Heatwave insulated heat retaining panels are designed for maximum swimming pool efficiency combined with simple installation and minimal over dig to reduce construction costs when installing the swimming pool system. The panels are extremely simple to install and fix together using a simple cam lock and channel system.

The panels are available in two thicknesses a standard 75mm insulated panel that is ideal for outdoor swimming pools and a deluxe 125mm thermal panel that is ideal for indoor year round heat swimming pools.

The standard insulated panels feature a 10 year guarantee, 75mm of Polyurethane, a U-Value of 0.30 and a HP 200 plastic panel finish. This panel system will be a Deep End Pools standard installation for the 2010 product range.

Deep End Pools at the Certikin International 2010 Seminar 28th January at the Hilton Hotel Warwick, where introduced to the Vacless Safety Vacuum Release Device. This deive is a simple install to any swimming pool system that could save a life. This little device is an extremely simple yet effective way of protecting you and you family. 

Vacless Automatic Breathers provide immediate vacuum relief upon entrapment by allowing atmospheric air to rapidly fill the pump pot causing it to lose prime.

Vacless Safety Vacuum Release Systems not only provide added safety against suction entrapment, but they also act as a drain winterization device a surge suppressor extending the life of your pool equipment. This valve is directly attached to the pump by removing the suction side drain plug and installing this SVRS in its place. All of our valves are designed for use on 0.5 to 10.0 horsepower pumps for small and large water recreational installations including hot tubs, spas, fountains, wading residential or commercial pools.

The anti entrapment safety function is achieved by allowing ambient air to rapidly fill the pump suction side, in the event of a high vacuum occurrence, causing it to loose prime providing for the quick release of an entrapment.

The surge suppressor function is achieved by arresting the sudden vacuum rise while the seal is momentarily depressed allowing for quick air gasps. At this role, the valve protects the pump filtration equipment against shocks and vibrations during pump start-ups leading to reduced maintenance costs, less down time, and longer equipment life.

The winterization function is achieved by simply removing the SVRS until all of the water in the pump is fully drained.

Vacless – Safety Vacuum Release Device

Swimming pool running costs are a major issue. It is always the ongoing costs once the pool is constructed that will affect you the most. Yes you have used the most efficient solar cover and a super efficient swimming pool air source heat pump but a lot of people forget about the heart of a swimming pool the circulation pump.

Certikin International today 28^th January 2010 unveiled their newest swimming pool circulation pump to their range the BOMBA HGS Dual Speed.

This new Bomba HGS  Dual speed has two speed settings allowing for maximum efficiency for you and your swimming pool.

There is a high speed setting for Backwashing, Rinse, Shock Treatments and intensive pool use.

The lower setting is ideal for normal circulation, water passes through filter much slower thus giving it a better filter. Energy saving as the pump in the slower speed setting is up to 60% more efficient than a one speed pump.

Better chemical distribution as the pool is getting a much more varied circulation of water. One of the major benefits of the pump in slower speed is that it is almost silent, this is ideal for those of us with plant rooms near the house or very close to a boundary.

The pump running at a varied speed is said to save some swimming pool owners in the region of £500+ a year on reduced running costs.

This pump is a much cheaper alternative to the Pentair Inteliflow.

Certikin International today 28th January 2010 unveiled a new high end swimming pool construction solution. Hidden Water Pools are swimming pools that appear to be an ornate patio area, but with the flick of a switch two minutes later you have yourself a 6 ft deep swimming pool.
